FirstService Residential employs a dedicated transitions team with roots in property management operations. We're not just facilitating communication; we're analyzing information and looking at your property from an operations and financial management perspective. This is a major differentiator for us since most other management companies do not have a dedicated team and assign someone with mere administrative experience to handle transitions.

Our goal is to make this transition process as seamless as possible. Soon after signing the management agreement, you can expect a single point of contact. Our seasoned regional directors, property managers, accounting coordinator, and business development team support our integration coordinator.

During the transition process, we start working behind the scenes 60 days before we start managing your community. We collect governing documents and owner information from outgoing management, open bank accounts for the corporation, and enter owner information into our accounting software and internal systems, among other things.

Our transitions team meets weekly to discuss all communities and ensure all tasks are completed on time so there is continuity of service to all our new communities. We understand that client onboarding is crucial to a long and mutually beneficial partnership.
